Former Inmate Turned Case Manager
Mark Harris, a case manager for Damascus House’s RISTORe Program, represented the RISTORe Program at the ECI Reentry Resource Fair.

Ribbon Cutting
On June 7, 2021 DHCDC hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of its first women’s house, Miriam’s House in Temple Hills, Maryland and its second transition house for men, John’s House in Suitland, Maryland. The event was attended by community members, pastors, Maryland State Senator Arthur Ellis, Maryland State Delegates Andrea Harrison, Geraldine Valentino-Smith and Erek Barron, Prince George’s County Councilmember Rodney Streeter and representatives from Prince George’s County Department of Corrections

The RISTORe program is very fortunate to have earned the praise of United States Senator Chris Van Holland, Maryland State Senator Arthur Ellis and then Maryland State Delegate Erek Baron, who was recently sworn in as the 49th United States Attorney for District of Maryland. DHCDC Joins the DC Baptist Convention
In August 2021 DHCDC was delighted to be accepted into the membership of the DC Baptist Convention. Our Executive Director was featured in the August/September 2021.
